Bullsh*t

Today was like started like any other day. I wrapped up some paperwork for my LTD claim. Which is if you ask me is redundant since I have already provided the info like 3 months ago! Anything to make it hard I guess? The American laws and bullshit surrounding maternal fetal care is so ass backwards you would think I was living in Africa somewhere. I get 8 weeks off after I have this baby because I had to use my maternity leave while being on bedrest.So I will be cheated out of time with my newborn and I am so pissed. I am amazed at the system here that deems maternity leave unimportant. The start of a new life is the most important event in a child and mother's life. Yet it is treated as if you just broke your toe and need to be home for a few weeks. No what it means is that I spent 9 months being pregnant and now baby is here and I'm just supposed to him at some stranger in a daycare. How preposterous !! My cousin in Canada meanwhile gets one year off for maternity leave and they also pick up all the hospital bills but yet WE are the greatest country in the world. As much as I love this country sometimes I cant help but think that money is more important than humans here.
